The Del-Mar-Va Council BSA is honored to be presenting Paul McConnell with the Citizen of the Year award during a dinner program on Tuesday, October 9th at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.  This annual tradition recognizes a community leader who conducts themselves in accordance with Scouting's ideals while serving as a fundraiser to deliver youth leadership development programs throughout the Delmarva Peninsula. 

BSA’s mission is straightforward and just as true and relevant now as it was then: to serve others by aiding youth to achieve their full potential. Whether it’s collecting food for the less fortunate, or developing self-confidence, camping in adverse conditions, providing leadership to their peers, Scouts are preparing for their future. Scouting will continue to thrive, and deliver its promise; turning young people into extraordinary adults.
