Internet Rechartering 2023
Renew the Charter for Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships, and Posts
The Boy Scouts of America offers an online charter renewal process for units. Recently, this process was moved to improve systems and increase speed and efficiency in processes.
Located at https://advancements.scouting.org, the new Internet Recharter system provides a more simplistic approach to the rechartering process and can be completed from start to finish without a single piece of paper changing hands.
A representative of each unit serving as the unit's renewal processor can now complete the paperwork for renewing a charter online. This representative must be one of the unit's following positions: Key 3 (Committee Chair, Charter Organization Representative, Unit Leader) or Key 3 Delegate. From Internet Rechartering V2.0 you can indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for an individual or the chartered organization. You will be able to upload documents such as Applications, Additional Disclosure, and Background Check Authorization, Youth Protection Training Certificate, etc.
When the online process is complete, there will be an email sent to the COR, Key 3, and COR Delegates. Please have the appropriate leader and executive officer sign the recharter paperwork. This will be done via email.
