Exploring is a co-ed, career education program for high school and college youth. Exploring helps young people plan for their futures while developing leadership skills, promoting community involvement and volunteerism, and providing opportunities for hands-on experiences in and around the workplace. Community organizations and businesses sponsor Explorer Posts and engage their employees with local students who are interested in specific career pathways during monthly or bi-monthly meetings. Responsibility, integrity, and academic achievement are reinforced through this unique form of mentorship, and by participating in “real-world career experiences”, students are better able to successfully transition into post-secondary education or the workforce. |
