Training

Click this link to take selected training courses on-line on a national website. To sign in and have your completion of this on-line training recorded, you will need to establish an account using your Council number and Member ID number. You will find these numbers at the bottom of your current registration card. If you do not have a registration card, please see your District Commissioner or District Executive right away.

The Del-Mar-Va Council Training Policy requires that 100 percent of all direct-contact leaders be trained within 90 days of becoming registered. If you need training for your Scouting position, or have questions about training programs or requirements, your first step should be to contact the training chairman in your district. The following volunteer Scouters are the current Area and District Training Chairs for Del-Mar-Va Council:

If you cannot attend the training event that interests you when it is scheduled in your area, feel free to register and attend a training event when it is offered in another area. Also, to encourage all leaders to become trained, it is the policy of the Del-Mar-Va Council that there is no charge for training events of less than one day, while events of one day or more will have a minimum charge, primarily to cover food costs.

Out-of-Council Training

If you are unable to make a Del-Mar-Va Council training event, check our neighboring councils' schedules. When completing training elsewhere be sure to turn in a copy of your certificate to your unit training chair, the district training chair and to the council registrar.
